What happens to your data when you visit konic.io, book a demo, or write to us — and how to reach us about it.

Who we are

konic.io is operated by Konic Labs, Inc. (“Konic”, “we”). For anything in this notice, write to [email protected].

When you browse the site

Analytics. We measure visits with Umami, which we host ourselves at analytics.konic.io — the data stays on our own server and is not shared with an analytics vendor. It records the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate country derived from your IP address. Umami does not use cookies.

Session recordings and heatmaps. Visits may be recorded with the same self-hosted Umami installation: how the page was scrolled, where the pointer moved and what was clicked, together with the page as it appeared. We use these to find broken layouts and confusing pages. konic.io has no forms, so a recording contains nothing you type on this site.

Delivery and security. Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from abuse, which means it processes your IP address and request details. Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement of visits and page performance, runs at the same edge. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie that tells people from automated traffic.

Server logs. Our servers, hosted on Amazon Web Services, keep standard request logs — IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier — for security and troubleshooting. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically.

When you book a demo

“Book a demo” and the partnership links open Google Calendar appointment scheduling. Google collects the name, email address and any notes you enter there, under Google’s privacy policy, and passes the booking to us. We use those details only to hold the meeting and follow up on it.

When you email us

We use your address and your message to reply, and keep the conversation for as long as it is relevant to working with you.

What we do not do

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, no advertising networks, and we do not sell or rent personal data. Links to GitHub, Hugging Face, LinkedIn and X take you to those services, whose own privacy policies apply.

Why we process this data

Analytics, recordings, delivery and logs serve our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the site. Booking and email details are used because you asked us to meet or to reply.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete data that relates to you at any time.

Where it is processed

Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services and Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU and UK GDPR and Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) — you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

When what the site collects changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
